State Championships Nevada March 24, 2012 ***Important: Registration for Nevada States for all divisions opens at 10am and WILL CLOSE at 10:45 am sharp! All entrants turning in Registration slips or checking in as Pre-reg after 10:45 am WILL NOT be in Round 1. Please make sure you arrive early enough to complete registeration by 10:45 am!
Round 1 play for ALL divisions will be starting after the player's meeting at 11:00 am. The Senior and/or Master divison MAY be staggered (1/2 of the tables play first, then the other 1/2 play second) for the first few rounds of play. This will allow us to accommodate all players who show up; ALL will be able to play in Nevada States. We expect a greater than normal turnout...this is ok...we will have lots of fun...with lots of competitive play.
All players need to have a completed deck list ready for pickup during the player's meeting at 11:00 am. It is wise to download the decklist now and have it ready to go when you arrive.

Passdowns:
*Byes: Byes do not stack and they do not pass down. Anyone winning 3 States would still only get one bye at Nationals. Nobody would get the byes from the second or third win. Byes at US States are for US Nationals therefore a Canadian winning a US state does not receive a bye at Canadian Nationals and the bye does not pass down to the highest placing US resident. The reverse is true for Canadian Provincials.
*Stipends: Stipends stack both with themselves and with the travel award from Regionals. It is possible for someone to win a travel award and $900 worth of stipends. Stipends are country specific and do pass down to the highest placing resident of the country. Therefore a US player winning the BC Provincials would not receive the stipend, instead it would pass down to the highest placing Canadian for distribution at Canadian Nationals. The reverse is true for US States.Additionally, participants will receive 3 Play! Points, and a Pokémon TCG 2012 State Championship promo card, while supplies last, just for playing! We will also have random prize drawings throughout the day for cool Pokémon promo items like playmats, beach balls, binders, caps, etc.everyone walks away a winner (either with a cool prize or just having lots of fun)!
